Athena - you are FANTASTIC! You're personality is exactly what everyone needs to start the day. My husband was over the moon with his breakfast egg sandwich, and my 6 1/2 year old LOVED the fresh blueberry pancakes. I tried a little bit of everything, the coffee, yum, the banana nut bread, yum, and the curry chicken salad sandwich! No lines, quick service, comfortable and pretty. Great food, great people. Why go anywhere else??? Michelle S
My wife suggested going to the Green Goddess for breakfast based on prior reviews, and it did not disappoint. The dining room was noticeably clean and bright and very comfortable. We got two breakfast sandwiches, and the staff made the eggs scrambled to order on one, as it's my toddler's personal preference. The ingredients were local and fresh and it had an obvious effect on something as simple as a breakfast sandwich. The best rendition, though, were the two eggs perfectly done over medium. It's funny that many places can't get this one right but the GG nailed it. Again, I could tell that fresh eggs really vaulted this plate. We got a nice straw-banana smoothie and the locally-sourced coffee was decent (still not as strong as I'd like but can't ding them for it). Henry D
My husband and I had breakfast here this morning. The food is excellent, the atmosphere interesting and the most bubbly happy woman taking orders at the counter...the food arrived rapidly...we will go back Shohreh E
This place was fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!!! Go there if you want truly fresh food, nice friendly service and a small town feel. Locals were well known to the staff! I had a tofu scramble, not because I'm a vegetarian, but, because I enjoy tofu. It was cooked really well and seasoned with curry. It came with a side of rosemary homefries. Truthfully, I could have eaten two helpings, not because the serving wasn't substantial, but, because it was soooo delicious!!!!! My husband's omelet was delicious. His only regret was that the menu was very small without a lot of choices. The quality of the food outweighed that for me. My only regret was that we didn't go there every morning we stayed in Stowe! Wish there was a Green Goddess Cafe in PA! Barbara K
You'll be impressed by how wholesome and fresh the food is at the Green Goddess. I had black bean soup and a blueberry smoothie for a light lunch. I will definitely make this a regular stop on my next trip to Stowe. Frank S.

By far the best organic, natural foods restaurant I've ever been to. From the caramelized onion pumpkin soup to the Greek wrap and the friendly service, not only do you feel amazing for eating locally grown veggies and meat but also because the food is that good. My husband and I were on our way to the ski resort in Stowe when we drove by this unassuming place in the village. If you're in the area, you must stop by. And I didn't get to try them, but there seemed to be a great variety of baked goods. Lilyvania M.

I visited the Green Goddess restaurant for a quick weekday lunch. I had the "make your own" salad, my dining companion had the turkey reuben. The salad was delicious, very fresh, tasty ingredients, generous portions, lots of interesting options, like grapes, cranberries, candied pecans, a variety of cheeses, great Vermont maple dressing, and beautifully prepared in a big wooden bowl with a tiny mug for the dressing. The reuben was also great, nice turkey, and good proportions of meat to cheese to dressing to sauerkraut to bread. You place your order at the counter, then sit and wait in the cozy dining area. We sat at the little bar area, but the seating area looked comfy, with tables and a few couch/easy chairs. The lady who took the orders was lovely, very friendly, and the service was quick and excellent all around. Prices are very reasonable, and well worth the delicious, high quality meal. We will definitely be coming back here again, we want to try out their breakfast menu. Arugula F.
This place was really great. I looked at yelp and found this place had the best reviews in the area. The menu is very healthy and offers a lot of food options -- build you own salad, homemade smoothies, bistro style sandwich's and great breakfast items. I had an "after turkey day" panini with cranberry mayo, stuffing, real turkey on focaccia. Go here now! Brian I.
Thank you fellow Yelpers! If it wasn't for your reviews we would never turn around and check this place out. Very friendly service and warm atmosphere. I felt I was at a friend's house with fresh gourmet food prepared for me. The make your own salad is excellent. I had the caramelized onion pumpkin soup which was very tasty and the right amount of texture for a cold winter day. Try the spicy sauces they go well if you are having a wrap and want a little extra kick. I would say this is one of the best places for lunch in the area. Thomas M.
The Green Goddess Cafe is amazing! I am just visiting for the week, so I thought I'd see if I could find a restaurant with some good vegetarian options, and boy did I find it. I asked the woman who was working there what her favorite vegetarian option on the menu was, and she actually suggested the B.L.A.T. sandwich (Bacon Lettuce Avocado Tomato) with their tempeh instead of Bacon. It was so delicious, when I was finished I wish i had another stomach so I could eat more! The tempeh is marinaded and has a really fantastic smoky flavor. I highly recommend this place! Grace S.
The Green Goddess Cafe is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch restaurants in Vermont. I eat here at least once a week and I generally do not visit most restaurants with regularity. Foods, coffee, tea, fresh juices/smoothies here are made with love and it really shows. The quality and consistency of the food is always excellent and everything is made fresh to order. Green Goddess has great breakfast food, including a fresh take on huevos rancheros more traditional egg sandwiches, muffins, tofu scramble, etc. For lunch, they have a fabulous make-your-own salad option with fresh, flavorful ingredients and a variety of other meat and vegetarian sandwich options. The prices are very reasonable, too (especially for Stowe) and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff seem to know even the once or twice a year visitors by name. Linda O.
Thanks for a great breakfast and the free advise. Athena was so great and willing to share information on the business climate of Stowe. Great food, clean space, nice warm feeling. Keep it up!
You made our trip to Stowe, VT so much better! My husband and I had been looking for places to eat that were members of the VT Fresh Network, reasonably priced, vegetarian, and casual. You were a relief to find among the many pubs and taverns in Stowe. We just wish that you were also open during dinner :-) We loved the sandwiches and breakfasts! On our way leaving Stowe, you were so accommodating at 8AM to make our lunches so we wouldn't have to rely on gross fast food on our car drive back to NY. Service was quick, bathroom was clean, and atmosphere was comfortable! Annie B,
Outstanding breakfast Sunday morning. Really like that coffee and eggs were to perfection Ken L.
WOW! This place is awesome! This was our first time here and we're so glad we went. The food is delicious, the staff was so friendly and welcoming that we wound up staying for a few hours. We had delicious pork tacos and a chicken philly based off the owners recommendations - they really know their stuff! I'll be making this a regular spot every week that I visit. Foodie F.
This is a vegetarian's paradise as the seitan philly was one of the most delicious creations I've ever had. But, this place is really for anyone who likes fresh, delicious, food. My husband and I split a carrot, apple, kale, beet juice, a salad where we chose our own ingredients (including baked tofu, shredded carrots, mushrooms, and cukes), and the philly. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant and the staff was extremely attentive. The only tough thing is that we live way too far to get to this place on a regular basis -- we are staying 25 minutes away and have already been back twice in three days! Go and enjoy.....you will not be disappointed! Davida R.
The Green Goddess Cafe is a gem in Stowe! The food and atmosphere is amazing! A must see when you visit Stowe for fall foliage or during ski season for yummy soup and fresh baked goods and a great place for a fresh veggies and fruit from a local garden in the spring and summer. One of my favorites! Christine W.
If you are looking for something to munch on, but are tired of diner or restaurant food - this cute New Agey café is for you. With yummy, moderately sized sandwiches (we tried the "After Thanks Giving" and the "BMLT"... both great), muffins that have more berries than dough and great lattes and flavorful teas, it's a great place with food that does not weigh you down. Its also spacious and has lots of seating - perfect for hanging out with a book or a laptop. We really enjoyed our late lunch I and V O.
